Ubisoft has revealed on Twitter that Far Cry 3 has officially gone gold in preparation for its impending launch later this month.
To be precise, the open-world actioner will be released in mainland Europe on November 29 and in the U.K. on November 30. North American gets the game on December 4. It’ll be released for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
Developed by Ubisoft’s Montreal, Massive, Reflections and Shanghai studios, Far Cry 3 takes place on a tropical island, with the overall objective being to escape the lush paradise and its crazed inhabitants.
The sequel features a number of RPG elements such as experience points, skill trees and crafting, and players will be able to perform stealth-based takedowns in order to remain undetected. Furthermore, the game world itself is significantly larger than previous games in the series.
