PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will receive two additional characters via post-launch content, Sony has announced.

The new brawlers are Gravity Rush’s Kat and Starhawk’s Emmett Graves. The DLC will be free for the first two weeks of availability, so snap them up sharpish.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Santa Monica’s Seth Killian, commented: “These DLC All-Stars still have a long way to go before they’re ready to be shown off.”

"In addition to the signature weapons you'll remember from his duels with the Outcasts on Dust, Emmett's playstyle will also utilize Starhawk's unique 'Build-in-Battle' system, calling down help from the sky.”

"Kat's approach turns gravity on its head with some mind-bending new ways to move as she positions herself for her unique brand of aerial assault. Together, they make up one of the most original duos in All-Stars."

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale features a host of iconic combatants, including Cole MacGrath, Colonel Radec, Dante, Heihachi Mishima, Kratos, Nathan Drake, Raiden, SackBoy and more.

Battle Royale will be released in the U.S. on November 20, 2012 and arrives in the U.K. on November 23.

Played Gravity Rush, loved it. Can't wait to use Kat in action. I'm extremely pleased to see her in this game not just because I'm a fan of Gravity Rush, but because she's a nice exclusive and will make a great addition to the game.

    Yeah, I agree.

I don't know what it is about Kat, exactly - her unique character design, traits or powers - but she's a likeable character and Gravity Rush is a great exclusive.

I would also like to see Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and Cloud Strife make it to the game as well. There's nothing wrong with adding more recent characters to All-Stars but you can't forget about the classics.

The only bright side to this announcement is that these two characters will likely come bundled alongside two other characters that serve as their rivals in the game's single-player campaigns.
