VGA 2012: Game of the Year announced

The Game of the Year has been announced at the Video Game Awards, and the list of great games this year certainly made choosing a challenge.
The five titles nominated for Game of the Year were Assassin's Creed III, Dishonored, The Walking Dead, Journey, and Mass Effect 3. We've seen other nominations for a few of these titles, including Best Character for Connor and Shepard, and Journey received a few awards of its own. Like any honored title, only one title came away with Game of the Year.
The game of the year wasn't one game at all; the Game of the Year goes to The Walking Dead series. We extend our congratulations to Telltale Games for their hard work and dedication in creating such an influential series.

@1 Kind of an odd thing to say, in way(even if a game is worse, another game will be game of the year in 2014...the game has to release that year...). The Last of Us will be out next year. Look for it to do well then. I sure hope it will be awesome, and that it indeed would have won(easily :)), as I would like to experience it. The game is also gorgeous! :) Developers sure have a great track record, but it is too early to judge it, and be sure it will be great. It has a shot, mind you.

Good to see this was Game of the Year. Also appeared the PS3 was hitting it big time during the VGAs :>)
