Assassin’s Creed III has managed a total sell-through of seven million copies worldwide, becoming Ubisoft’s fastest-selling game of all time.
The figure was reached a mere month after the historical action-adventure’s release in late October 2012.
Ubisoft also confirmed some interesting statistics for you to digest. In terms of solo play, gamers have drummed up more than 82 centuries of gaming time and performed over three billion assassinations.
For multiplayer, players have logged over five billion sessions and committed more than 250 million assassinations.
Ubisoft’s UK managing director, Rob Cooper, commented: “We are delighted with the performance of Assassin’s Creed III this Christmas.”
“This is a beautiful and epic game of exceptional quality, and we’re pleased that our fans have responded so well to the brand new universe, storyline and game experience.”

I'm surely not the only one who was disappointed by many aspects of this game? The Desmond sequences were rushed beyond belief, and seemed totally random (like Ubisoft wanted to visit every location in the World). Connor's story was okay, but suffered from not making the most of characters. George Washington barely playing a deep role within the game, Haytham was the best character by far. The gameplay was also ridden with glitches and an inaccuracy in movement/freerunning not seen since AC2. The hunting/loot/crafting were all boring and pointless. Overall I felt the game was a watered down mess, capped off by a weak ending.

I don't follow the AC series but I am a third person view fan. The PS3 has failed in this department big time! Whether it be SOCOM 4, Spec-Ops the line, AC3 or any other third person shooter/game it turns out glitchy and CLUNKY. This was never the case for third person games on the PS2.

@2- Thats funny, I haven't had any problems like that on third person games. But at the same time, it depends whos developing it also.

I liked AC3 for a while there. But after a while it seems just to get dull and boring I've almost sucessifully obtained 100% of the trophies. I just don't see myself playing it in the future. Any of you guys feel the same exact way?
I do like the combat style of the game. Lol a couple of days ago I tried playing Revalations, didn't happen. I don't know, I guess I'm not AC implied :p
Sincerely, GC Thank You! Happy Holidays!

Im quite surprised by this, Far Cry 3 is a much better game I feel. Maybe because of past games in the Assassins creed story were very good.
I own AC3 however I have not played it in 2 weeks and much prefer Far Cry 3....although I downloaded GTA san andreas last night and its still a great game, so AC3 is even futher down my "games to play " list!

@6, me too! I will wait for the Far Cry 3's price down to $30 and I would buy it for sure. I know that Far Cry 3 is pretty awesome game.

This article is displayed as if it's well deserved. And for such a glitchy mess as Assassins Creed 3 it is not the case. Terrible. I've never played a game that felt so unfinished.
