This week's PlayStation Plus bonuses for North American gamers have been posted a bit early, and the pickings look good enough to sufficiently ring in the new year.

Most notably, PS Plus subscribers will be able to download 8-bit throwbacks Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 free of charge. Actually, there's a healthy mix of eras and genres on tap this week; the God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta comes alongside the free Mega Man downloads, while a 50% discount on Eufloria ($2.50 for Plus members) and free DLC for NCAA Football 13 round out the day.

January 8 will bring these perks to PS Plus members alongside the usual PlayStation Store update, which we'll cover (as we do every week) right here on PSU. We thoroughly enjoyed Mega Man 9 (check out our review), and God of War: Ascension is shaping up very nicely. Still, if you're not satisfied with these offerings, you can give PlayStation your thoughts with these official polls (check the article's upper-right corner).

What do you think of this week's Plus offerings? Disappointed that a hopeful title didn't make the list? Sound off in the comments below.
