Update: White PlayStation 3 Superslim console coming to North America

UPDATE: Confirmed via press release. The Classic White Bundle will launch for $299.99 on January 27, 2013.
Original story: The Crystal White Superslim PlayStation 3 console may at last be hitting the United States and Canada. Product pages for a White PS3 Superslim Bundle appeared on both Best Buy's American and Canadian websites today. The $299.99 bundle will come with a 500 GB Crystal White Superslim PS3 and one year of PlayStation Plus.
While the box features images and cover art from LittleBigPlanet 2, Infamous 2, and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, these games do not come in the form of a digital download or physical copies. Instead, Sony is advertising them as coming with this bundle via the Instant Game Collection that comes with the PlayStation Plus membership.
A 320 GB version of the Crystal White system has already been released in Japan, Europe, and Australia.

It figures that Sony waited till the ugliest PS3 model is out to release it in white in NA. Way to go Sony. =/

@1 - I think white is ugly. Ever since 360 launched as such and all of Apples products back then were white, other companies followed. I got so sick of white. I want a red ps3 that matches the controller. The red PS3 slim that was released in the UK didnt look so nice with the matte finish.

This is a day one buy for me - my PS3 recently broke and my PS sub ended last month. Getting a new one with 500GB and it being white is a cool perk. It will be my last PS3 and will make for a good collector's edition before the next gen comes to light - now all I need is a white PSV to match (already bought one for my kid when it came out last year)

lol im waiting for ps4 to come out, really its a waste of $$$ just if you want a different color. you could just have a tatoo artist paint it how ever you wanted depending on what you want i had him do mine with and awesome MGS theme :)
