In Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, protagonist Raiden will have to face off against four cyborgs bosses throughout his adventure, each one boasting unique abilities making for some tactical and difficult battles.

See below for a full round-up of the intriciately-designed foes you'll be coming up against.

Mistral: A female Cyborg Ninja and a member of Desperado Enforcement LLC. She is one of the Winds of Destruction alongside Sundowner and Monsoon, and is named after the dry northern winds that blow from the Alps to the Mediterranean. Mistral uses weapons called Etrangers in many ways such as whips and rods. She can attach up to 14 arms of Dwarf Gekko/Scarabs into her body, seven arms on each of the two sides of her body.

Monsoon: A Cyborg Ninja and a member of Desperado Enforcement LLC. He is one of the Winds of Destruction alongside Sundowner and Mistral, and is named after the seasonal wind systems that occur in West Africa and Asia-Australia. Monsoon is capable of magnetically dislocating his entire body to attack from a distance, and wields Sai weapons called Dystopia, which are enhanced via magnetic fields.

Sundowner: A renegade Cyborg Ninja who serves as the unofficial leader of the PMSC Desperado Enforcement LLC. involved in the events of 2018, as well as one of the members of the Winds of Destruction, alongside Mistral and Monsoon. His name was derived from the wind condition that occurs in Southern California. Donning a specialized custom cyborg body, the immense Sundowner wielded two high-frequency machetes known as bloodlust.

Samuel: A Cyborg Ninja involved with the Desperado Enforcement LLC PSMC group who fought against Raiden during the events of 2018. He is a master swordsman of the Brazilian technique "New Shadow School.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is out February 19th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out a new trailer below.

God...this game's story is going to be appalling. It looks like something I wrote in 7th grade. Very bland character designs as well.

The gameplay for this thankfully shaped up quite a bit since i last saw it but its still pretty crap in the sense that when enemies appear, the world is locked off with a mostly invisible barrier, there are executions in the game but no stealth (you cant even crouch as far as Im aware), and the cutting mechanic still looks taxing on the patience.

I swear the highest score this game will possibly get will be an 8 point something.

Didn't realize an 8 out of 10 was a low score.

It should be obvious by now that this isn't a Metal Gear Solid game. That said, why is stealth important? And what's wrong with the cutting mechanic? If you were able to cut everything with ease then the game would be too easy. I like Metal Gear games as much as the next guy but at least try it before you knock it.

@Blacksite- Ah, MG is a stealth espionage series, and has been since the beginning. Also, Raiden is a ninja, and ninjas specialize in stealth too. In conclusion, MGR has shown itself as being a simple hack N slash type game, which in turn, we all can get that crap from any of the Ninja Gaidens that are out there.

The character designs do look pretty wack to me too. =)

There IS stealth, but to what extent I can't be sure. The point, however, is that you can choose to make your executions undetected or avoid enemies altogether. There are still Alert phases. I'm not inclined to believe this is as in-depth as it is in traditional MGS games, but the option appears to still be there. This is evident in the official gameplay video that released some time before the ZOE HD Collection demo was available in Japan (I even posted the video in one of the Metal Gear forum threads about MGR)

@3 I dont remember saying an 8 out of 10 was a bad score. I said it would get an 8 at best. Which means that an 8 would be the score given to it by that one site that always overshoots the score which means the game probably has very bad reviews otherwise. Learn to read in context. A game that gets 8's overall is a game thats doing pretty well. A game that gets one 8 as its highest score probably performs very poorly elsewhere.

And I am judging based on the newest walkthrough gameplay trailer (20+ minutes) I saw and yes the game does indeed look very wack.
