Killzone: Mercenary PS Vita release date announced

Killzone: Mercenary, the upcoming first-person shooter for Sony's PlayStation Vita, has received a release date and some beautiful screens.
Early, early reports on Guerilla Games' new entry in the Killzone series is great claiming that the title is "gorgeous," and we now have hard evidence to support the claims made by PSX Extreme from Poland.
This screen, and the other one shown below, released by PlayStation Blog portrays actual gameplay, but what's a better statement about gameplay than a bonefide trailer? Killzone: Mercenary will hit the PS Vita on Sept 17 of this year.
The other released screenshot shows a large first-person venue overlooking those goggled baddies we all know and love.

you know what, im actually excited for this game. I know Vita has been lacking in quality titles, but the potential of the system is very immense, but dev support its really what it needs to boost sales. This will help. I actually enjoyed KZ2 (rare for a FPS as i dont play them much), and as something i could pick up and play anytime for 15-20 minutes when im out and about or on my lunch break or something, im definately picking this up

Plus the game is being made by guerilla, this is truely going to be the FPS to show people why they should buy the PSVita.
