Watch Dogs could launch on PS4 by year's end, hint marketing materials

A new set of leaked marketing materials indicates that Watch Dogs, the open-world shooter that wowed us at E3 2012, could be out on PlayStation 4 this holiday season.

The news comes courtesy of Kotaku, who received the marketing schwag from an unknown source. The advertisements declare that Watch Dogs will be coming 'Holiday 2013' to 'all home consoles.' This isn't necessarily proof of next-gen plans, but a few key details indicate that a PS4 release is likely. A G4 quote on the ad material - a conscious inclusion by Ubisoft - declares Watch Dogs to be a 'truly next-gen adventure,' but there's also the small matter of just how gorgeous the game looked in last year's reveal trailer.

We'll bring you more on Watch Dogs as we hear it. In the meantime, sound off in the comments if you're excited to see more of Ubisoft's high-tech answer to Grand Theft Auto.

I need confirmation of the players hacking other players missins, if so I just won't get the game as I'll sweat doing a mission for 2 hours and someone will just get the reward

This could be a great game to launch a new cosole but then sells will be low for the game

@2 I doubt highly that you would be subjected to that kinda thing without your own approval. I watched something that stated that you'd have to "Accept" things from other players before it happened, but it didn't mention if the hacking other peoples games would necessarily be something you have to acknowledge first. also it talked about friends doing it to friends, not strangers... so if it is a friend based free-for-all, then just get rid of your friends. boom, problem solved. Personally, regardless of any interference from other people (which might be fun, who knows)... this game looks like it would be amazing no matter the nuisances

@2 Or obviously just play the game offline like how a person with your opinion and a little common sense would play a game like Demon's Souls?

Did I honestly have to tell you that?

Anyway I doubt this game will release this year. In fact im pretty sure the chance of it being delayed is in like the high 80 percentile range.
