PS4 demos will be playable at E3 2013

A day after the PlayStation Meeting, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton was interviewed by Bloomberg over Sony's views on the competition, criticism over a lack of console and price at the event and on the PlayStation 4 at E3.
Tretton talked about bringing in casual gamers to the hardcore audience through cheaper offerings on PlayStation Network and also spending the last five years listening to developers and consumers about their desire for a powerful and affordable game console. He also mentioned that there will be playable game demos at E3 this year. Nothing was said however about when the public would get a chance to try it out since E3 is for press and industry only.

I wish I could go back to E3, the one time I did go was just before the release of the PSP and DS. Getting to demo them and games like RE4 and such was a great experience, but now a days there are so many conventions like SDCC, NYCC, RTX and PAX that everyone will eventually have a chance to test out the new stuff. I had no doubt that there would be playable stuff in time for E3, and I look forward to indepth impressions although the excitment I feel is still guarded because I still have TONS of PS3 games to play and without confirmed pricing or knowing what features I wont get from the new system because I refuse to pay subscription fees, I don't know exactly what to be excited for outside of more pretty graphics.

This isn't news.. You would think the PS4 would be playable a couple months before release.

Playable demos are the best way to juge a new console, get a feel of what it's capable of doing, can't wait to see what you guys think of the PS4 at E3.
