Last October’s Retro City Rampage, the 8-bit send-up of open-world thrills, has sold more copies on PlayStation Network than on Xbox Live Arcade.
The news comes courtesy of Vblank Entertainment CEO, Programmer, and Designer Brian Provinciano, who worked on Retro City Rampage and tweeted about its success earlier today. Provinciano also detailed that the PS Vita version of Retro City Rampage, besides outselling the XBLA version outright, sold more than even the PS3 version of the game. Apparently, Steam couldn’t stand up to PSN sales numbers, either:
Granted, the XBLA version didn’t release until January 2, 2013 (giving PSN an almost three-month head start), but still – mighty impressive.
