Bitsquid has pledged its support for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 console, confirming its Game Engine will be soon available for licencing on the new machine.
Said Johan Stromberg, CEO of Bitsquid: “We are proud to be a part of this important even and welcome this powerful new console on which we will see many amazing new games.”
For the uninitiated, Bitsquid’s engine focuses on performance, flexibility and productivity. It’s a highly cost-effective piece of kit, advantages of which include ‘lean code base, fast workflows and sub-second iteration on multiple devices and usable for a large variety of games and platforms.’
PS4 is scheduled for release in holiday 2013. More information on the console is expected to drop at E3 in June, so stay tuned.

Although we expect to hear more of the PS4 at E3, what if we didnt and only got more game foootage? ;O Madness!
@1 - its weird that somehow this game of one of the big 3 console manufacturers has a chosen "winner" at the end, has been around for years. For me, its who really appeals to who. Nintendo hasn't done much for me in previous years or Microsoft with few exclusives I like, but, I dont see them as losers. hmm

@2 Of course there will be footage of games! There should also be a reveal of the actual console design. Plenty to show still. With so much time between the February reveal and E3, should be something new to see from Guerilla and Sucker Punch, among others. More complete versions of new ones should be there.
Looking forward to seeing more PS4 stuff :) The Last of Us also is high on my wanted list...amazing looking game :)
