Final Fantasy Type-0 director: 'We did experiment with' HD console version

The staff behind the acclaimed PlayStation Portable game Final Fantasy Type-0 apparently "experimented with" a high-definition console version of the game at one point.
This news came from an interview with the game's director Hajime Tabata from the Japanese Type-0 art book that was recently translated. When asked if there were plans for an HD version of the game for consoles, Tabata replied, "We did think about how fun it would be playing Type-0 on an HD television. In fact we did experiment with it, and it was definitely submersive."
However, don't get your hopes up. Tabata finished his answer to the question by saying, "But unfortunately, there are no plans as of yet."
Square Enix should take more risks and jump into following through with "experiments" like this. Surely a port the PlayStation Vita wouldn't be too hard. At the very least, please publish Final Fantasy Type-0 outside of Japan!
Stay tuned to PSU for any breaking or hopeful news on Final Fantasy and more.

Its sad when you see Eidos making all the money for Square-Enix, 4 games from Eidos in 2 years, 1 game from Square in 2 years.....(not counting protable games). How about you cancel the game nobody wants in FF14 sense you killed it yourself and lost almost all the player base and release the game people want Square I mean......COME ON

I'm quite sure they're is a reason for this not being available stateside-but I can't wrap my head around it...politics no doubt. I was looking forward to this since it was revealed as Agito XIII, and was part of the Fabula Nova Crystalis (Tales of a new crystal)...I don't doubt that Square has an angle, or an agenda but they're tactics are questionable at times-for example, many didn't care for the XIII games, maybe they cant turn it around with Lightning returns. Not to get off topic, but I still don't understand why Crisis Core, and Birth by sleep isn't available for download. Perhaps they're just to ambitious of a company..with a Realm reborn, Agni's philosophy, and the pressure from us to remake FF7. But I lose faith when I see things like All the bravest which is a complete rip-off.

They better consider an HD collection of Final Fantasy PSP games that includes Dissidia 012, Crisis Core, and Type-0.
