U.K. Charts: Tomb Raider denies God of War: Ascension

God of War: Ascension has battled its way into second place on the U.K. All Format charts, though didn’t quite have enough muscle to topple Tomb Raider from the top spot.
Sadly, Kratos’ latest outing didn’t perform as well as Sony would have probably hoped; it sold less than half the launch week sales of God of War III back in 2010.
Tomb Raider meanwhile comfortably held onto pole position in light of a batch of new releases including StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm (third place) and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 (fourth place).

That's pretty good being 2nd when you consider GOW Ascension being a PS3 exclusif title, plus this TR is surely the best one ever made, I've seen it run live on PS3 and wow it's so amazing what they've done with the franchise. I hope futur TR games will follow this epic revival it deserves and really NEEDED!

GOW only had 3 days. And also, it is a prequel, so it is expected to sell less. But I bet it will reach 4M LTD, instead of the 6M of GOW3 Sony has shipped, but still those are great numbers.
GOW:A is the best GOW game yet. It is spectacular in every aspect and deserves at least 8.5 as score and 4M sales. The combat, the graphics, the soundtrack, and the pacing are just terrific. The story could need some more work, but it is good. As a package GOW:Ascension is a game every PS3 owner can not miss.
