Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2’s planned ‘dismemberment’ DLC has been shelved, City Interactive has confirmed.
Speaking with VideoGamer.com, a company representative said, “I can confirm that CI Games are no longer going to be releasing the dismemberment DLC.”
No reason for the cancellation was given.
For those unaware, limb dismemberment was originally going to be featured in the game, but was pulled in order to secure the shooter a release in Germany. City Interactive later revealed its intention to re-implement the feature via DLC.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was released last week on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 to largely negative reviews. Nonetheless, the title has already shipped one million units globally.
