Minor PS Vita firmware 2.12 ‘coming soon’

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) released tonight that a firmware update is heading to the Playstation Vita.

This minor update is labelled as firmware version 2.12, and, unlike the last update (v.2.11), this one will not be mandatory. Sony‘s official statement, which was posted on the official PlayStation Twitter page, read:

"Optional update for PS Vita coming soon; v2.12 will improve system software stability during use of some features."

Firmware 2.11 also implemented small fixes in order to improve system stability, which means that, unlike major update 2.10, PS Vita owners will not receive any substantial changes outside of any issues that any small number of PS Vita owners may be experiencing.
