The creator behind the Metal Gear franchise has suggested the difference in power between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is only minimal.
Speaking with 4Gamer (translated by Dualshockers) Hideo Kojima commented, “The difference is small, and I don’t really need to worry about it.”
He went on to observe that Sony’s next-generation console is the cheapest option, though flagged up the decision not to include a camera with every system – something which he believes will change going forward.
“Considering that the camera is so widespread in smartphones and tablets, I think it’ll build up to be the norm.”
Kojima-san took to the stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference last week to announce Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will offer an open world for the first time in the stealth-action series’ history, and features Big Boss – now known as Punished Snake – sneaking his way around Afghanistan in the year 1984.
