PS4's day-one update can be downloaded while you play

Sony recently stated that PlayStation 4 will require a 300 MB download on launch day to activate some of its features. Because of this download, day-one PS4 owners were growing concerned about how long it might take to get their consoles fully functional.

Thankfully, Sony representative Shuhei Yoshida, the company's Worldwide Studios president, has taken to Twitter to put the record straight. When asked, "Can I download the 300mb patch in the background while I play single player on a game?" Yoshida replied with a simple, "Yes."

This is great news for PS4 owners, as they can now enjoy their console without waiting for a patch to install, and, hopefully, the only real launch day issue will be deciding what game to play first.
