4J Studios confirmed through a recent update on Twitter (via Examiner) that Minecraft is indeed running on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but chopping away at the bug list for the PlayStation 3 edition is top priority.

@Wood_712 The game is running on both Xbox One and PS4, but there’s a lot more work to do on both. No dates for either yet.

Minecraft was in queue to be a PS4 launch title but met its delay due to much-needed testing for its PS3 counterpart. A release date has not been determined, but the game is scheduled to release on PS3 first, followed by the PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One.
Stay tuned for future updates on Minecraft’s status.
