Sony has published the newest update for the PlayStation Portable.
Slated as update 3.12, the only announced fix is to "improve system stability," according to our original report yesterday. Nothing was reported as to why the general stability of the PS Vita software needed improving, but the addition of another 400 possible application icons on the PS Vita home screen could be part of the culprit. Until we know for certain, if Sony will release details on the matter at all, we will be sure to report on it.
Also, be aware that the update is mandatory, so playing online or accessing the PlayStation Store on the PS Vita will require update 3.12 to be downloaded.
