BloodRayne has had an interesting past. Starting out as a video game published by Majesco and developed by Terminal Reality, the original title saw Rayne — a half vampire, half human — go up against the Nazis, while its sequel saw our heroine battle her half-siblings and their leader in a contemporary setting.
Released on PlayStation 2, both games were very successful and spawned two movies and comic books. A third game was released, titled Bloodrayne Betrayal, a side-scrolling action-adventure game that launched as a downloadable title for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.
A new website has been filed by Arc System Works, featuring an anime version of Rayne much like "Bloodrayne Betrayalm," which reads:
"She who fights with monsters might take care lest she thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
A countdown timer stating three days left and the title "BRCS" is all that the site reveals. Whether this is a new Bloodrayne title or Rayne herself being announced as a Blazblue or Guilty Gear guest character remains unknown — we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out.
