E3 2014 Awards: Best Action Game

Despite a plethora of action-orientated releases vying for the title of "Best Action Game" at this year’s E3, there can only be one out-and-out winner, and that’s Batman: Arkham Knight.

Introducing the fan-favourite Batmobile and refining the game’s celebrated fighting mechanics to a tee, Batman: Arkham Knight is undoubtedly a refreshing culmination of all things great about Batman games past and present, delivering the ultimate be-all and end-all narrative arch that’ll make even the most stoic of gamers answer the call and rise to the occasion.

Now set with the placeholder release date of 2015, Batman: Arkham Knight still has a while before release, which certainly makes its latest build at E3 all the more astonishing. Stepping in the boots of the Caped Crusader and hitting the streets of Gotham City to deliver hard-nosed justice cannot come soon enough, and we’re sure you’ll agree.
