Mass Effect 3 has gone gold ahead of its eagerly-anticipated launch early next month, developer BioWare has confirmed on Twitter.
The epic sci-fi sequel concludes the story of Commander Shepard as he/she launches a final battle against the Reapers, who have begun their invasion of Earth.
“After an awesome effort by our team, I’m proud to announce #MassEffect3 is officially GOLD! Many surprises await you – this week and beyond,” wrote series executive producer, Casey Hudson.
A playable teaser of the action-RPG will be released on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE tomorrow.
Mass Effect 3 is due out on March 6 in the U.S. and in Europe on March 9.
