Vblank Entertainment has sought out to create the ultimate retro game by developing Retro City Rampage for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and it's released a video to prove exactly what it means.
In a time where retro gaming can coincide with high-definition gaming, a game like RCR takes on the same elemental blend in a much different way. Instead of giving a game retro controls with high-definition graphics, it takes the retro graphics and combines many different gameplay styles, both old school and modern, into a collaboration fit for the gods of the original Nintendo.
Brian Provinciano, developer at Vblank Entertainment, walks through many aspects of the company's upcoming retro game, spending a lot of time talking about the efforts put toward combining gameplay styles all into one seamless title without feeling like a collection of mini-games.
Let us know what you think of RCR. Does this nostalgically coax anyone on the fence into buying a PS Vita? Sure, it's coming to the PS3, but having it on a handheld definitely looks great.
