Sony apologises for lack of Euro Counter-Strike: Global Offensive release

PlayStation 3 owners in Europe were today a little miffed to discover that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was conspicuously absent from the weekly PlayStation Store update this afternoon.

The game, which is available in the U.S. for Sony’s platform as well as PC and Xbox 360 worldwide, failed to put in an appearance in today’s EU store update as planned.

Sony has since acknowledged the game’s absence and issued a formal statement on the matter:

“Unfortunately counter strike has not been made available on the European PlayStation store today, and we apologise to those of you who were looking forward to playing it. We hope to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and will let you know if the situation changes.”
