The developer behind Dead Rising 2 is busy beavering away on two unannounced titles.
Capcom Vancouver’s official website dropped the news via a general recruitment post, which states, “Capcom has one of the industry’s greatest back catalogs but for our next project we’ve been given the opportunity to create Capcom’s next big game.”
Details are sketchy at this early stage, though one thing is certain – don’t expect any zombies this time around. “PS…no zombies,” it teased.
Still, don’t write off a potential Dead Rising 3 just yet; the no zombies claim seemingly pertains to only one of the projects.
Meanwhile, a LinkedIn listing an opening for a UI software engineer reads, “Capcom Vancouver is growing! We have two unannounced projects in play.”
“We need the help of smart, passionate and dedicated people to help us make our open world action games,” it added.
Dead Rising 2 was released in 2010 and received a number of extra content in the form new missions featuring original hero Frank West. In addition, the entire game was reimagined with West as the main character in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
Rumors have already started circulating about a third game, which will apparently take place in the fictional setting of Los Perdidos.
Stay tuned for more info as we get it.
