Last week a new Mad Max game was revealed during Sony’s press conference at E3. Developed by Avalanche Studios, the new game adaptation of the Australian film series has left a bad taste in the mouths of some its respective fans.
Ausgamers reached out to the new Mad Max developer as to why the iconic franchise namesake now has an American accent, as opposed to his trademark Australian accent. Much to their dismay, Avalanche Studios responded with the statement that “we wanted someone generic.”
In response to Avalanche Studios choice of removing Mad Max’s voice, Ausgamers has started a petition to have the developer bring in a voice actor who can pay homage to Mel Gibson’s famed character.
What do you think about the petition? Should fans get what they want or should the developer have creative control over their title?
