Dragon’s Crown dated for Europe, but will its controversial art style attract yet more criticism across the pond?

NIS America has super-glued an October 11 release date to the European conversion of Dragon’s Crown.

The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita beat-‘em-up/RPG is currently in development at Odin Sphere and Vanillaware, and is directed by Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom’s George Kamitani.

Oddly enough for a PS3 and PS Vita release, Dragon’s Crown does not support Sony’s cross-buy/cross-play functionality, though you’ll still be able to transfer saves between each version of the game if you wish.

Participating retailers (details to be confirmed) will also be offering an exclusive art book as a pre-order incentive.

Dragon’s Crown was released in the U.S. earlier this month. Read our review of the game here.
