PS4 version of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls confirmed, playable at Blizzcon

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that the PlayStation 4 version of Diablo III will be graced with the game’s first expansion pack.

In August, we reported that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls might not make its way to PlayStation 3, since Blizzard’s primary focus is on PC gaming. With the PS4 under a month away, Blizzard looks to be focusing its efforts on the next generation of gaming. Gamers who can make it to Blizzard’s iconic convention can be the very first publicly to try out Reaper of Souls with the PS4’s Dualshock 4 controller. Blizzcon takes place November 8-9, so now is the time to start looking for tickets; if tickets to physically go to the convention cannot be found, jump over to Blizzard’s Virtual Ticket page to see everything right from your computer.

One might also note that the official Blizzard website that initially announced this information regarding Reaper of Souls states that only the PC and PS4 versions of the game will be playable, but nothing on the site says anything about the game being next-gen exclusive to PS4. Time will tell in that department, but the confirmation of extra content to Diablo III coming to Sony’s next home console might coax PlayStation gamers into buying Diablo III one more time.
