DICE halts work on future titles in wake of Battlefield 4 issues

DICE has declared that all future content, including add-ons and other titles, will be halted in light of the Battlefield 4 issues.

Speaking with IGNan Electronic Arts representative announced that "Developer DICE is not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game."

A patch for the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 was scheduled to release earlier this week, but "additional testing" has delayed it. So instead of a patch, Premium players will be presented this week with "China Rising," the games first expansion pack. The EA representative commented, "China Rising was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, EA decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week."

The representative went on to assure players, "We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right."

DICE was confirmed to be working on the next Mirrors Edge title along with the much anticipated Star Wars Battlefront 3, but with work being halted on both projects, players may have to wait a little longer to experience them.
