E3 2014: PlayStation Now open beta date, included games announced

Shawn Layden, new President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, showcased what’s to come with PlayStation Now.

Available in the US and Canada as open beta starting July 31st. "Shortly after," PS Now will be available to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. As well, owners of select Sony televisions will have access to PS Now directly to their TVs, outstretching the PlayStation library to other Sony devices.

The titles that will be available on PS Now during the open beta are Dead Space 3, God of War Ascension, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, and Ultra Street Fighter IV, making the first public access very appealing to those who haven’t tried PS Now quite yet.

"The PS Vita will have the best catalog of games on a mobile device," said Shawn Layden, who highlighted the vast array of games across all existing PlayStation consoles that will be playable on Sony’s powerhouse device.
