The Last of Us Remastered goes gold

Naughty Dog’s Mike Yosh has all but confirmed that The Last of Us: Remastered, the upcoming PlayStation 4 edition of last year’s gritty post-apocalyptic hit, has achieved gold status.

Yosh posted a shot of a gold bar on Twitter, followed by The Last of Us and PS4 hashtags. If that isn’t a confirmation for the game going gold, then colour us immensely confused.

The Last of Us: Remastered is due out on July 29 in North America and August 1 in Europe. Naughty Dog has harnessed the power of Sony’s latest home console to tart up the visuals considerably, with Remastered running at a sumptuous 1080p/60fps.

In addition to various cosmetic touches, the PS4 versions of the critically acclaimed title offers all available DLC, including the hit single-player romp, Left Behind. It’s all available at a knockdown price, too.

Stay tuned for our review here at PSU early next month.
