Electronic Arts has confirmed that FIFA 16 will not be released for the PlayStation Vita.
A representative for the publishing powerhouse commented: "With regards to FIFA 16 there isn’t a Vita or 3DS version. We don’t have any further detail on the mobile version but will be sure to share with you when we hear more."
Previous versions of the series have come to PS Vita since the handheld’s launch in 2012, though they have attracted much criticism for being dumbed down compared to their console counterparts.
FIFA 16 is due out this fall on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game received its debut trailer last week, which confirmed the inclusion of Women’s National Teams for the first time in the annual footie franchise’s history.
