Following reports of PS4 overheating issues with Rocket League, which launched this week, Psyonix has released an official statement to PSU.
Earlier we told you about a temporary fix for the PS4 overheating problem while browsing the menus, but we now have an official quote from the developer who is working hard to fix the issue.
“We are aware of these reports and we are taking them very seriously. We have already taken measures to reduce fan noise in upcoming hot fixes and patches, and we are also investigating what kind of effect the excessive fan noise may have on the system itself,” said Psyonix. “We’ll definitely keep everyone updated with what we find.”
Although the PS4 overheating issue and the server connection problems have plagued the launch of the car-based sport’s title, Psyonix has so far done a great job at keeping the community up-to-date with progress. Keep an eye out on its official Twitter account for updates. It’s certainly worth preserving, or practising offline, because Rocket League really is worth the wait.
