Where to watch the Sony CES 2016 press conference, PlayStation VR final details expected

With Sony’s virtual reality headset due for release in the first half of 2016, it seems extremely likely that talk of PlayStation VR will be one of the focuses at Sony’s CES 2016 press conference later today.

Ahead of the consumer electronics event, which runs from January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Sony will kick things off with a press conference at 5pm PST (8pm ET) on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The full live stream can be watched below, on the UStream website, or via your PS3 or PS4 console.

It’s been rumoured that we could finally hear about a firm release date and price for PlayStation VR. A recent report by IHS Technology suggests that Sony could undercut rival headsets HTC Vive and Oculus Rift by offering PlayStation VR at a cheaper price. The research company also predicts that it will outsell its rivals, suggesting that Sony could see 15 million PlayStation VR units shifted by the end of 2016.

Among the launch games expected for PlayStation VR are: Driveclub VR, Headmaster, Project CARS and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
