Nolan North would come back for a new Uncharted game

Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North has said he’d be willing to reprise his role as the iconic fortune hunter if Sony decides to make a new Uncharted with another studio.

Speaking with Vulture, “Depending on how much money this game makes, Sony might want to do another one with another studio,” adding, “And I would certainly come back.”

Uncharted 4 is available now for PlayStation 4. The game takes place three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of retirement as a treasure hunter after being reunited with his long-lost brother, Sam.

Naughty Dog has implemented a number of new features for Nate’s latest adventure, including large-scale environments to explore, improved stealth and melee mechanics, plus an overhauled multiplayer that includes AI-controlled buddies and mysticals.

The California-based studio has confirmed that this will be its final Uncharted game, although it hasn’t ruled out the possibility of another developer taking over at some point. Indeed, this would allow North to potentially reprise his role, despite Uncharted 4 supposedly being Drake’s final adventure.

Regardless, Naughty Dog has revealed it has at least one more PS4 game in the pipeline, though it hasn’t revealed any plans about its next project as of yet.
