Chances are you likely haven’t heard of topatoi, the first PSN title by Bootlat Games, an Eastern European developer, yet it’s coming out tomorrow on the PlayStation Network.

topatoi is a 3D action platformer where you play Raph, who must use his gyroscopic vehicle to rescue his girlfriend. This vehicle has different unique abilities to overcome various puzzle challenges and enemies.

topatoi contains a split-screen multiplayer mode, with "various multiplayer modes" promised in further updates. For more details, check out the game's official site, or venture over to the European PlayStation Blog.

The only thing this title has going for it in my opinion is that it is named very closely to Tapatio, a very nice hot sauce..... Yeah video games do not complement a Carne Asada Burrito at a tacoria. Waffle.

I know, I was thinking the same thing. I wish every PSN title had a demo so you could try before you buy. I'm hoping that eventually it will happen.

Ugh, I bought this thinking it would be similar to the likes of Crash Bandicoot, but it's a ****ing abomination of a game! One that I paid £8 for the displeasure of playing...

    Allow me to summarise:

STORY: Pretty much generic garbage, 2 minutes into the game your companion gets kidnapped by a large bird for no apparent reason, and you spend the entire game going through levels to find a way of retrieving her.  Of course, this being episodic the game ends with Raph's adventure "only just beginning".  Quite franky, I couldn' give a **** about Raph, or his girlfriend.

GAMEPLAY:  Tedious, frustrating, infuriating. 3 words that immediately spring to mind.  Jumping is such a chore, it usually takes about 3 attempts to get up onto the most basic of ledges.  The enemies are pretty much braindead, and will just constantly drive into you until you ineviatbly fall off an edge.  You can't even fight back adequately until the last 2 levels when you receive a "Push" ability.  The checkpoints are so infrequent that they're barely even noticeable.

REPLAYABILITY:  Well, it does have some bonus levels that are surprisingly more entertaining than the main game, so I guess that's at least ONE positive thing going for it.

In summary, save your money for a more enjoyable experience. This game is garbage.
