Controversial movie director Uwe Boll has gone on record to state he feels he is the ideal candidate for helming a movie adaptation of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Speaking to Vulture, Boll commented, “Grand Theft Auto would be super interesting for me, and I think I would actually be the right guy to do it,” explaining, "because my movies are all bloody and violent and I don’t have a problem with action scenes.”
Boll added that he feels the movie will likely end up a compromised affair in the hands of another director, stating, "But look, they will go, in the end, with a Michael Bay or a Brett Ratner, and it will be a PG-13 movie made for $150 million.”
“I think it would be better to make a $30 million, very hard, brutal movie without compromising, but I’m not optimistic,” he said.
Boll has worked on a number of videogame to film adaptations over the years, including Alone in the Dark and The House of the Dead.
