SEGA has strapped on its retro boots and unwrapped the first details on its long rumoured Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection pack for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Due out in early 2009, the compilation features some of the 16-bit consoles most celebrated classics, including Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin, in addition to a couple of top picks from the Sega Master System and Arcade platforms.
Gary Knight, European Marketing Director for Sega Europe, commented, "Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is a must-have for any Sega enthusiast,” adding, "Fans will get a chance to relive fond memories from these classic games in HD format."
Pricing details have yet to be confirmed, but we’re hoping the publisher will see fit to slap an attractive budget price on the package.
