Kingdom Come Deliverance II Sales Hit 6 Million Worldwide

Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios have announced that Kingdom Come Deliverance II has sold six million copies worldwide since its launch in February 2025.

This latest milestone follows news earlier this year that one of key members of the Kingdom Come Deliverance team, Daniel Vávra, was stepping down from game development to focus on brining the medieval RPG franchise to the big screen.

Anyone who has played Kingdom Come or even Mafia will know Dan’s handwriting and can expect a strong story again,” Warhorse Studios’ Martin Frývaldský said at the time. “We would have to be blind if we didn’t realize how much our brand has grown. In fact, Dan Vávra’s new position could be called transmedia director. In any case, we see the film as a complement to our game creation, which can be extremely successful in its own right.

Following directly on from the original Kingdom Come Deliverance, this sequel takes place in the Kingdom of Bohemia in the year 1403, and finds the land in the “turmoil of a civil war.” Kingdom Come Deliverance II features a number of characters that are based on real-life people from the medieval period, with players following the story of the fictional blacksmith, Henry of Skalitz, who leads a resistance in favour of the imprisoned King of Bohemia Wenceslaus IV.
