Capcom has announced that the 1994 Street Fighter movie adaptation staring Jean-Claude Van Damme will be brawling its way on to Blu-ray in February 2009.
Due to ship under the title of Street Fighter: Extreme Edition, this high definition re-release of the flick promises a multitude of special features, including a ‘Making Of’ featurette, deleted scenes, director commentary and BD live support.
The film also stars pop princess Kylie Minogue as British brawler Cammy, along with the sadly departed Raul Julia as M. Bison, who spends most of his time flying about on wires and booming orders from a laughably ostentatious levitation device of some description.
If that wasn’t enough to float your boat, keep in mind that Capcom’s latest instalment in the venerable fighting series, Street Fighter IV, is also due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that same month.
