At long last, Square Enix showed off the Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster in motion through the release of an announcement trailer today.
The 1 minute trailer’s only in-game footage comes from the FF X HD Remaster, but gives players a look at the environments and how the characters will move and talk. The FF X|X-2 HD Remaster is definitely one of the prettiest high-definition remakes seen yet. Improved models and other art assets only help to boost the beautiful art direction the original game had.
Both games are based on their International versions. Final Fantasy X International features additional bosses and an Expert Sphere Grid option alongside concept art, interviews, music, and more. The International version of X-2 introduces two new dresspheres, additional missions, and new combat features.
A release for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster is slated for a release date sometime this year. Earlier this year, an attendee at Sony’s Destination PlayStation retailers event claimed that the HD Remaster would release in June. Amazon currently has the game listed at a price of $39.99 and is accepting pre-orders now.
