A recent job posting by Sony Santa Monica has confirmed that the God of War developer is staffing up for a new IP.
The company is on the lookout for a senior combat designer for the unannounced project, and is asking for experience in both first and third-person shooters, as well as vehicle combat, open-world and boss design.
Posted on Gamasutra, the job ad reads:
“The Sony Santa Monica Studio is hiring for an unannounced new IP! We are an open and creative environment that strives to make the best games in the industry. Join us as we embark on our next project!”
Sony Santa Monica announced yesterday that it is working on the next entry in the God of War franchise, a prequel subtitled Ascension. The game will ship in Spring 2013.
