Mortal Kombat PS Vita dated for U.K.

The PlayStation Vita version of Mortal Kombat will be released in the U.K. on May 4, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced.

Developed by NetherRealm, this handheld version of the acclaimed brawler features a heap of exclusive PS Vita features including a new Challenge Tower mode packing 150 missions and touchscreen fatalities.

Mortal Kombat boasts an extensive character roster of iconic combatants, including Sonia, Scorpion, Kano, Raiden, Sub-Zero and Liu Kang. New to the fray this time around however is the X-Ray attack, which allows players to execute bone-crunching moves to zap your opponent’s health.

Mortal Kombat was originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2011, garnering critical acclaimed and going on to shift nearly three million units globally to date.
