Fresh info on Destiny’s upcoming The Taken King expansion suggests the new content drop will connect previous offerings The Dark Below and The House of Wolves.
That’s according to speculation over on Reddit (via GamingBolt), which uses info from Destiny’s Grimoire Cards, specifically that of Ghost Fragment: The Queen 2, as evidence for the finding.
1. The Hunter came to a halt in front of the throne, raised her covered face to meet the Prince’s gaze. The Hunter’s pale lips tightened slightly, then resumed their usual stony mien. 2. Eris: How? Toland: You’re hunters—hunt.
The above quote indicates that the female Hunter in question is Eris Morn, the quest giver for The Dark Below DLC. That’s not all, however.
“The Techeuns gather at the door as the Queen approaches it. Prince Uldren holds it open with a small bow, and the Queen touches his shoulder as she passes. “Send a Crow to Mercury. And another to our new friend in the Tower.”
The ‘friend’ mentioned here could also refer to Eris, while the light house in Mercury may in fact be the hideout of Osiris. Rumors suggest that The Taken King connects to Osiris, pointing towards a possible reunion with Eris as you both try to gain allegiance with the Queen.
The Taken King hasn’t been officially announced by Activision as of yet, although its existence was all but confirmed by Red Bull last week. There’s also this leaked logo doing the rounds, too.
Bungie previously teased some sort of E3 news for Destiny fans, so it’s probably going to unveil the expansion in Los Angeles next week. Stay tuned.
