Peripheral manufacturer Nyko has launched the Data Bank for PS4 which allows users to upgrade their internal storage to up to 6TB.
Costing $39.99, the PS4 Data Bank provides an easy way to upgrade storage, though you’ll still have to buy a separate 3.5-inch drive. The video below shows a step-by-step guide on how to install Nyko Data Bank and increase storage significantly.
Using the tool that comes with the Data Bank, the process involves removing the plastic cover off the PS4 to take out the current 2.5-inch drive. You then slide in the SATA adaptor and clip on the Data Bank. A SATA cable is then plugged into the adaptor. Slide the 3.5-inch drive into the Data Bank, which sits on top of the PS4, and voila! You’ve just ensured you’ll likely never run out of storage on your PS4.
Note: We’ve not tried using the Nyko Data Bank so we cannot testify to its performance.
