Welcome to PSU’s premiere of the PlayStation Vita’s Game of the Month!
Unlike most months, this month has a very slim picking of titles released. April has seen the release of a few little titles, such as StarDrone Extreme and Treasures of Montezuma, two games that bring some variety to the PS Vita table. Unfortunately, they don’t match up to the major release of the month, Disgaea 3: Absense of Detention.
Absense of Detention is a port of the PlayStation 3 version, Absense of Justice, with a vast array of additions. These additions include two new characters, new story scenarios, and ALL of the downloadable content that’s presently available for the PS3 version. On top of it all, the game now utilizes touchscreen functionality for gameplay controls — both the front and rear touch inputs.
It’s unfortunate that the last month or so has been slow for the PlayStation Vita, even if the last batch of games was pretty good. May has two big titles in store, as well as June. Much like the early stages of the PS3, games are a bit scarce. Luckily, upcoming games will be more frequent and diversified. Until then, however, I suggest picking up this Game of the Month to bide your time with Mao and the rest of the crew.
