Sony will unveil the release date for PlayStation Vita at September’s Tokyo Game Show, it has been confirmed.
Writing in a blog post, Hiroshi Kawano, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), further added that the date “is finalized.”
The hardware manufacturer said yesterday that the new handheld will hit Japan by the end of the year, with western regions getting the device in early 2012.
PS Vita is expected to form a major part of Sony’s GamesCom showcase later this month, where punters will be able to take the new portable for a spin.
