A recent survey by Playr2 has found that nearly a third of the 1,321 PlayStation 3 U.K. owners polled are ‘seriously considering’ investing in a PlayStation Vita.
According to the report, over three quarters of PS3 owners – 76 per cent – said they were excited about PS Vita’s launch at midnight, while 32 per cent of respondents said they were “seriously considering” getting one in the near future.
In regards to the latter, 22 per cent said they intended to plonk down the cash for Sony’s new handheld within one week of its release.
Furthermore, 62 per cent PS3 owners who are planning on getting a PS Vita said they “wanted a powerful handheld console.” Out of the 32 per cent who plan to buy the handheld, half have owned a PlayStation Portable, while six per cent said they planned to flog their current PlayStation console to buy PS Vita.
Sony’s feature-heavy handheld arrives in North America and Europe tomorrow, and will be available in two models: Wi-Fi Only and Wi-Fi plus 3G.
