Electronic Arts has pulled the curtain back on developer Insomniac Games’ new multiplatform offering, a four-player co-op outing known as Overstrike.
The game, described as a “Spy-FI” action romp, focuses on a quartet of “outcasts” by the name of Overstrike 9, who must subvert a dastardly terrorist threat to conquer the globe.
Ted Price, CEO of Insomniac Games, commented, “Overstrike presents a unique blend of features that have long been a part of the Insomniac DNA: high powered gadgets, action-heavy gameplay, memorable characters in a deep and mysterious universe and of course a touch of humor.”
“And since this is our first multiplatform game, we’re especially excited to introduce ourselves to a new audience — one which may not have experienced our previous games.”
Overstrike has yet to attract a release date. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
